My memoir, Every Morning, So Far, I'm Alive, was published in 2019 by Otago University Press. It's about breakdown and recovery, about migration and returning home, and about how nature can heal the self.
I've also been writing about literature and culture for many years, from the Slow Food movement to William Morris, but I've always been especially interested in women's lives in the nineteenth century -- and the authors who wrote about them.
